No direct confirmation that I've seen, though a couple people on
rasf.fandom have reported that he admitted it in e-mail to them.
There's really no doubt about it at this point, though.

I'd be interested in seeing a copy of that, particuarly if it mentions
his market listing page (which was cut-n-pasted from The Market List
site for those who don't know already).

Best,

Rust (good one, that!). He's said as much, I'm sure. Didn't he
abandon the Artis nom because of anti-semitic posters in some other
groups? And there is very little doubt in my mind that he is also
Pesach Lattin, and I do recall vaguely that Artis admitted as much,
but I guess I can't be 100% sure.

He did claim, albeit unconvincingly, that the rogue cancels which were
flying about for a while were forged to look like they were from him
when they weren't. (I was crushed when he did not deign to cancel my
mildly negative posts!)

He's really an amazing little twit. I didn't get this latest
spam-mail, to my surprise, but I did see it posted to
rec.arts.sf.written, and my immediate reaction -- which I resisted the
temptation to post -- was, "Not AGAIN!"

He's not only clueless, he's determined to REMAIN clueless.

This is the one I got:. Given his rep as a spammer, I wouldn't touch
it with the proverbial barge pole.

**IMPORTANT PRESS RELEASE**

I am proud to announce a new SF newswire service that I believe will
change the
face of science fiction, fantasy and horror online and offline.
Through the help
of numerous parties, we started the SFC Network, a project that will
link
science fiction media sources, business and communities together to
share
information about this wonderful industry. This free service will
allow everyone
from authors to media moguls to contact science fiction media sources,
authors
and all over the world instantly by sending a short press release.
The hope is
that everyone will be able to access the service and be able to
announce new
books, services, upcoming conventions and anything that would interest
the
science fiction media world.

Please take this opportunity to sign up and send press releases via
our service
immediately. For further information and to sign up go to
http://www.sfcentral.com/network . Also, please tell your associates
and friends
about this service.

John reprinted a post which began, in part:
> Dear SF Publisher,

>I would like to introduce you to a new upcoming professional online >SF
review online magazine, which it is my pleasure to be involved in.

I would suggest that if he desires to be involved in a professional magazine
or review, a grammar primer might be an excellent investment.

He posted as "Artis" saying he would never post again, then turned
right around the same day and started posting his usual attacks as
"SFCentral." He also said he'd not respond to individual 'attacks'
(and to him, it seems that anything other than a kiss on the rear is
an attack) and turned right around and did that, too. What he expects
to gain by publicly flaming industry professionals, fans, and other
miscellaneous SF supporters is beyond me. Talk about biting the hand
that may have potentially fed you.

I almost decided to post something myself just to see if I'd get
cancelled. Try to pick a fight with me, eh? ;-)
