Dear European Chamber Members,

As you may remember, last November the FACCSF and GABA organized a joint event with the Cleantech Open Forum to introduce our local European members to the contingent of about 20 European cleantech start-ups who participated in the Global Cleantech Forum in San Jose. The event was a bit last minute so we did not get many of you to participate.Last year, the winner of the top prize ($200,000 plus a series of in-kind services) was a French-American company, based in the Bay Area:PowWow Energy: https://www.powwowenergy.com/learnMore/

This year, we are starting early and have already met with the Cleantech Open Global Forum organizers in January.  We plan a afternoon and evening get together for our interested local cleantech European members to meet and greet this year's European competitors. This event is targeted for November 12th, the eve of the Cleantech Global Forum event.
Please keep this date open on your calendars so we can have you all participate in this event.

The Cleantech Open starts in May not only in the US but also around the world as the companies prepare and compete in several US regions and other parts of the world and the semi finalists come from all over to participate in the finals in San Jose in November. In California, recruiting is going on now through the entry Deadline, May 1st. If you think that some of your members might be interested in participating in this great program. http://www2.cleantechopen.org/

Below, you will find a series of events you can choose to share with your members who cannot only enter the competition or consider participating as mentors. The Cleantech Open would also like to get information about the European Chambers events that they can in turn share with their alumni, sponsors, supporters and current entrants so they can benefit from our events as well.
For example, we will invite Cleantech Open Alumni and other members to participate in the Business Booster series so they can learn and benefit from them.
This is an opportunity to promote European Chambers events to the greater Cleantech (or MainTech as it has been recently referred to) of the Bay Area.

I hope you will participate. Let me now if you have any questions. Best regards, Chloe
