Danish-born jazz violinist and DACC member Mads Tolling is playing with his quartet at the legendary jazzclub, Yoshi’s at Jack London Square in Oakland. The performance will take place on Memorial Day, Monday, May 30 @ 8pm. It will be a Tribute to the great French violinist Jean-Luc Ponty and music by Chick Corea, Stanley Clarke and Tolling himself.

DACC members and other Euro-Chamber Members are invited to stay after the performance for a special meet & greet with Mads.

France’s own Jean-Luc Ponty has been at the forefront of jazz violin for decades. He has singlehandedly brought the electric violin and the European tradition of great jazz-violin playing to the U.S. Jean-Luc Ponty met Danish violinist Mads Tolling at Berklee College of Music and recommended Mads to Stanley Clarke, where Mads has been a five-year member in the Stanley Clarke Band.
