Hi,

I have updated the front page of our main web site [1]: now its sources are in
doc/ directory of sfepy sources and the page is generated by sphinx. I have
also added news from the google site and other links.

Any feedback would be appreciated, namely on broken links and obsolete/wrong
information. I will then remove the duplicate information from [2].

If things go well, there should be a regular release (2012.1) soon, so testing
and feedback in this direction would also be welcome.

hi,
looking up the domain i found this-
see that your private information's are public here, and that is not a good thing.

hi,

Well, one has to give some address there... I do not know how to avoid/hide that.

you can ask the domain provider to make the info private. some provider asks for money to do it, some not.

Heh, obvious answer, and it worked :) Thanks, I did not think about that.

glad to hear that it worked.
I think the previous working structure of sfepy.org was better. now the address looks bit messy.
just my opinion.

yes, the links could use some better formatting.

fyi: I "organized" the links into a table.

Good work.

but why "//" instead of "/"?

the doc-devel is now at the home page. I expect the site to be modular.
maybe the table and the site map be placed on the homepage and everything else on their own branch??
just my thought....

It's due to redirection from sfepy.org/index.html. The url with "/"
works as well. There might be a cleaner way to achieve the same, but I
had not time to explore it.

Now even the main page is in the sphinx docs of sfepy (so that it is
tracked by git) - I find it better than having a hand-written index.html
that is outside of the documentation, as it was before. But I agree that
the url http://sfepy.org/ is nicer than the current one. If anyone knows
how to make http://sfepy.org/ to show
http://sfepy.org/doc-devel/index.html, let me know.

I think It was just the bug in the redirection link :-)
I have already fixed it.

Thanks, there is now a single slash (after a bit of fighting with the
browser cache). :)
