Hi

Auckland has received its SFD swag. We got a box of CDs with Ubuntu on them.
1 medium and 1 large brown tshirt and 1 xlarge orange tshirt with SFD logo on them
10 iron on transfer stickers with SFD logo to make more shirts
20 orange balloons with SFD logo
1 banner
20 stickers
3 DVDs - 1 is FreeCulture content for the event (videos, guides, FLOSS manuals, fonts, songs), 1 is FreeDistro GNU/Linux distributions (.iso list includes Debian, Blag, Dragora, Gnewsense, Parabola, Trisquel), 1 is OpenDisc FOSS for Windows

Does anyone in Auckland want to grab a transfer to make their own shirt? Does anyone want to look at the DVD content and see how we can use it?

I'll be at Windsor Castle, 144 Parnell Rd, on Saturday from 11am to 2pm if you want to come check out the goods and help with the planning.

Also, I have just seen there is a new OpenDisc release announced on the SFD discussion list. Do we want to make copies of this disc and does anyone know where we can get that done?
Just wanted to let you know that Chris Gray, OpenDisc maintainer, has just release an updated version of The OpenDisc right in time for SFD.
He is also apparently working on preparing a new home for the project at http://opendisc.co/ but I encourage you all go and visit the project site at http://www.theopendisc.com/

The countdown is definitely on now as we are just a week and a bit away from the big celebration. Keep telling everyone about it and help spread the word. Remember, if you want something added to the event features on the website please do let me know asap.

Hi guys,

I've just received word that the prospective sponsor for the USB flash-drives for this year did not come through (maybe better luck next year?) - I'll try & trike a deal & buy a few from PBT myself.

Looking forward to seeing you all this coming weekend - please remember to put out the respective reminders.

Kind regards

- Jaco

Is the culture dvd under some sort of creative commons licencse (aka can it be copied), if so would you mind putting an image up, so that we can make a few copies for down in Hamilton?

Cheers

Shouldn't take too long, right? So say 9.45am? (I have also just emailed the Cafe Manager to ask her).
