Hey all,

I'm sure you're feeling overwhelmed by our Democracy in crisis right now. Want to do something better than doomscrolling? Here ya go!
(Feel free to FORWARD, but remove my info, please)

Congressional members are home on Recess this week - in person- and we're in the middle of a constitutional crisis in DC. It's time to show up and tell them to start fighting harder to protect our country from Trump and Musk!

First of all, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU'RE CALLING YOUR SENATORS AND MEMBERS OF CONGRESS almost EVERY DAY to tell them to SLOW DOWN, DENY, DELAY the Constitutional coup, the nominations, the budget cuts, the illegal access to data, and all proposed laws from Trump, and call for Elon Musk & DOGE to be reined in - you can use 5 Calls: https://5calls.org/
And ask your friends, relatives, colleagues in swing states and Red States to especially do this!

Town Halls this week:
This is your chance to hear from and talk to your member of Congress in person, to hear what it's like in DC, what their plans are, and to give them their marching orders to respond to the attempted coup in process.

For those in Sonoma/Marin/Napa/Mendocino Counties (limited tix left):
Toolkit from Indivisible on how to prepare for the Town Halls, and other actions you can take this week while Members are home: https://indivisible.org/muskorus

To find a Town Hall near you: Check out your local Indivisible chapter and their map of Town Halls and associated actions across the country.

If there's not one on the above map, search your Representative here: https://www.house.gov/representatives/find-your-representative Then check their website, look at their Facebook page, or give the office a call.

Dem Party ADEM Elections this Sunday!
Also, if you care about the future direction of the Democratic party, you can vote THIS WEEKEND in the Assembly District (ADEM) elections for Party representatives.

Most of you are in AD2 (Assembly Member Chris Rogers and State Senator Mike McGuire)  and AD2 elections will be held this Sunday from 12p-4p at the SoCo Dem Party HQ: 448 Sebastopol Avenue, Santa Rosa, CA 95401.

Here's the Chris Rogers/Mike McGuire district AD2 "pro-change" slate of local folks: www.bluead2.com . I would replace Danielle Feldman with Larry Ligouri though. Feel free to share your thoughts.

You can see who ALL the candidates on all the statewide ADEM district ballots are here: https://adem.cadem.org/candidates/

You can look up your Congressional and Assembly/Senate (ADEM) district here by putting in your address: https://calmatters.org/politics/2022/01/california-election-new-districts-lookup/

And if you're not in AD2, find where and when to vote THIS SAT or SUNDAY HERE: https://adem.cadem.org/where-to-vote/
