"We are all born originals. Why is it so many of us insist on becoming copies?"
- J.Sewell Perkins
As human beings we have a common thread running through us that connects us to everyone else on the planet. With that said, we are each unique. We are born originals which means there has
never been any other person on this earth exactly like us... nor will there ever be. Even identical twins are not identical. Sure, they look the same but we have discovered in recent years that they are not.
So each of us is unique and has a potential that no other person can fulfill. That sounds pretty special, doesn't it? It is and yet so many of us spend our entire lives in the quest to become
copies of someone else. Whether we're star struck and want to become a copy of one of the currently popular stars or we simply immolate someone within our sphere of influence, being a copycat removes all the gifts and talents you, as an original, were given
at birth.
Until you invest in yourself and use your natural talents to become all you are capable of being, you will never be happy. Be who you are (you're the only one who can) and make the most of yourself by becoming the original you were born to be.

"Your silence screams so loudly it is deafening."
- J.Sewell Perkins
What are you holding inside you that needs to be said, something you really need to let out of you. While you may believe it's a secret, there are probably many who know there is something
you are both struggling to hold in and struggling to let out.
Such things hold us back from becoming all we have within us to be. If you don't trust anyone enough to share it... just to get it out in the open... you can speak it into a recording device and then destroy the recording. You can also write it out in detail
and then burn the sheet of paper on which it's written.
The point is that you are hurting yourself by holding it and keeping it a secret. Find a place you trust, speak the situation, listen to it one time and then destroy it. It is then gone and you can stop thinking about it and wondering with whom you could ever
share such a story.
You'll feel so much better both mentally and physically.
"A sense of humor is a major defense against minor troubles."
- Mignon McLaughlin
Are you able to laugh often? Actually, the more important question is, are you able to laugh at yourself? It's important to be able to find humor in everything... yes, I really do mean everything.
When you come to the realization that you and only you create everything that happens in your life...that you create your entire life... why wouldn't you laugh at yourself when you suddenly realize that you've created a mess. I mean, that is a really silly
thing to do, and yet we all do it from time to time.
It's important, no matter what happens to find the humor in it. No matter what the situation, there is humor in it. Yes, I really do mean NO MATTER WHAT THE SITUATION.
The important thing is that we learn to laugh. It lightens the load and changes our instinctive approach to minor and even major trouble.
"As you travel the road of life you'll find that the extra mile is seldom crowded."
- A.C. Kane
The number of people who quit just a few steps away from the success they have claimed they want is astounding. It has been said many times, in many different ways, by many different people...
"It is always too soon to quit."
Be willing to go the extra mile, it's seldom crowded and it is only there that you will find what it is you seek.
"Confidence is a habit that can be developed by acting 'as if' you already had the confidence you desire to have."
- Brian Tracy
This is one of those quotes that people tend to question. They ask, "How can I act like I have confidence when I don't have confidence and I don't know how a confident person acts?" The answer is this - watch people who are where you want to be in life and emulate the best of the best you see in them.
