Inverness Byte Get Together -IYC Dinner - Maiden Movie Oct 26

Byters, 

Haven't seen many of you on the water in some time.      Annie and I came up with a  social event for the Bytes:

Inverness YC is hosting a club dinner and showing  the movie  Maiden sat eve Oct 26. Come up and join us for dinner and the Malden viewing. 

Annie has offered accommodations Sat night at her family Inverness abode, a lovely refuse tucked in the trees. 

Bring a sleeping bag and towel , (there's a roomy upstairs bunkroom) , your Byte, kayak hiking boots, painters palette or a book. 

Check the IYC website for tides if you plan to bring your Byte or kayak,  or check for current club races and crew list to get a ride. 

If you're racing (or serving on RC) in the RYC Great Pumpkin regatta (same weekend) come up after racing  and head back sun am for the Pursuit race.  it's a lovely, approx one hour drive. 

Even if you've  already seen Maiden,  come up and enjoy Inverness, the area and club are a special place  .Plus I've heard Maiden is worth seeing a second time.  

  We've got some ideas for Byte events for 2020 and welcome your ideas.

It is a long time since I have sailed with you but it would be great to see you at IYC. Very sweet of Annie to invite you to lovely Inverness.

As a member ( and former Commodore) I would like to let you know that if you choose, I am sure you would be very welcome to compete in the IYC All Souls Race on Saturday ( formerly known as the Spook race) in which it is traditional to dress spooky (though few have in recent years).

Perhaps let the race officer know if you would like to compete.
