So it looks like we are unable to get the 5 boats needed to sail as a class up at HL this year. I hope they will let us in again if we want to go back another time. Things are getting sticker fro the organizers but they are still holding the regatta. I guess I get to work instead! Oh bother! I will wait a couple more weeks (just in case plans change) then let the organizers know we will not be making it this year. I know Keith (my friend who organizes it) will be disappointed. Me too but what can you do. We need new blood and more boats on the line. Sunday was a great sail for those of us who got out on the water. You can't beat SF Bay when its at its best. It was warm enough later in the evening too. Great day! Thanks to all who came - sorry both Bill and Michele arrived a little too late but Michele and I managed a big boat evening cruise which was great! Happy sailing through the summer to you all. See you out on the water again. We could plan another "sail a byte day" for maybe - September and practice before the next regatta. We should see if there is interest in maybe going to Clear Lake for next year and start organizing now. when the El Toros are back from there NA's we can ask about accommodations.
