Hoodline reported recently that a new building is being proposed for the space on Oak and Divisadero where there currently is a car wash and gas station. It's a pretty big plot. The proposal is a 4-6 story building with ground floor retail, bike parking, and car parking for 1/2 the units. Sounds pretty good, though a taller building would mean more units. It's close to transit (a few god bus lines are nearby, it's less than a 10-min walk to the N, and it's on the Wiggle), so that would support more height too. http://hoodline.com/2015/06/plans-filed-to-replace-divisadero-car-wash-with-six-story-development

Neighbors Developing Divisadero has a poll in order to send feedback to the Planning Department and the developer. I live in one of the target zip codes, and so I filled it out. It seems like a good way to ensure some YIMBY voices get in early. https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/S2W293G

Can someone fill me in on the general plan for Divisadero? Clearly there's been a lot of change on that street in the past few years. What is the zoning? What are the height limits?

I used to own the coin-operated laundry at Oak and Divisidero. I agree that the gas station location would be a great spot for housing.
