Another D6 and CentralSOMA issue. We should be fighting hard for RESIDENTIAL in Central SOMA because it is adding a shit-ton of office and needs to pull its weight. Planning should have let them have the extra height as a residential density bonus. 

All those Peninsula commuters could be stopped from putting pressure on the rest of the units.

How does this fit in with the politics of CentralSOMA getting approved?

Curious what people think on the design side as well.

I would recommend contacting the planning commission, especially Dennis Richards. During a recent hearing, he asked the department why it had recommended a height reduction for a different residential tower. He didn't get a terribly convincing answer and the project was already well past the design phase, but it isn't too late yet for this one.
