Kare kareng pata ng baboy
Ingredients
2 chopped pork pata(Front leg)
1 quartered onion
1 packet annato seed( atsuete)
1 mama Sita kare kare mix
2 sandok na skippy peanut butter
1 tablespoon salt
Vegetables
talong
sitaw
petchay
Boil pata til tender( include salt and onion) , slow cook is better aprox about 2 hours. Pede rin pressure cooker Kung ur in a hurry
Soak annato(atsuete) in 1 cup hot water for 5 mins, then strain, set aside
Dissolve peanut butter in 2 cups hot stock( ung galing sa pinakukuluan na pata)
When all tha pata is tender add the peanut butter and strained atsuete ( make sure walang sumamang buto
)
Simmer for 10 mins
On a separate pot ,boil water add a tsp of salt
Then blanch vegetables ( sandali Lang) approx 1 min
Top simmered kare Kare with the veggies before serving
Serve with bagoong on the side syempre.... Enjoy
