Hey,

I'm having some difficulty adding vicci nodes to my slice uw_dht. In particular, the RPC for sliver addition returns successfully, but I don't see any nodes in my slice even after ~12 hours.

I'm following the instructions here: http://svn.planet-lab.org/wiki/SfaceGuide. I'm using the latest version of sface for snow leopard (http://build.onelab.eu/sface/sface-0.9-4-sfa-2.0-10-snow-leopard.dmg)

My configuration is as follows
slice HRN: plc.uw.dht
user HRN: plc.uw.cs   (my PL email is c...@cs.washington.edu)
authoritative HRN: pl.uw

I clicked on nodes->plc.vicci->node69.washington.vicci.org, and hit submit. The call eventually returned with "Slice data submitted"

Here's the relevant part of the log:

Add hostname: node69.washington.vicci.org

11:18:23 Invoking ./Resources/sfa/clientbin/sfi.py -d /Users/rcs/.sfi/ -D -u plc.uw.cs -a plc.uw -r http://www.planet-lab.org:12345 -s http://www.planet-lab.org:12347 create -o /Users/rcs/.sfi/plc.uw.dht.rspec plc.uw.dht /Users/rcs/.sfi/plc.uw.dht.rspec_new

11:18:55 Done [31.938 s]

The tags associated with that node are "delegation" and "initscript".

It's been ~12 hours since I submitted my initial sliver addition request. Am I missing a step?

Thanks!
-Colin

Hi Colin,

I found several errors in the vicci's sfa log file that suggest there are no nodes selected in your rspec. Can you post the contents of /Users/rcs/.sfi/plc.uw.dht.rspec_new?

Tony
