Dear Friends and Colleagues,
We have exciting news. During the SfAA American Indian TIG meeting on Friday (April 1), from 12:00-1:20 pm we will be honored to have Rosina Philippe from the Atakapa-Ishak tribe of southwest Louisiana and Christi Kuhn discuss and show video footage of the impacts of the Deepwater Horizon Gulf Oil Spill on their land and culture. Christi is making a documentary on the spill and the Atakapa-Ishak and will be showing a 9 minute screener.
Please plan on attending as we will get to hear directly about how the Deepwater Oil Spill has impacted the Atakapa-Ishak. Also, please let anyone know who may be interested.
