Hello SF 9/11 Truth Alliance,

I just joined at the invitation of Carol.  Thank you Carol. 

I have been active on 9/11 Truth since June, 2006.  From late 2009 through late 2012 I was the Volunteer Team Leader of Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth, working with Richard Gage, Dave Schlesinger, Roland Angle, Sandra Jelmi, Sean Brizendine, Laila Selk, and many others.  It was a lot of work and enjoyable.  I was a volunteer myself. 

In 2009 I learned about freeway blogging and thought I'd like to do it for 9/11 Truth.  At the time I was living in Davis.  I had a banner made and found an overpass over I-80 for bicycles and pedestrians only.  On 9/11/2009 I went freeway blogging for the first time with my friends Petr Buben and Bob Gipson.  It was the first of many. 

We had a minor hassle with the police.  A month later we were out there again and this time had a major hassle with the highway patrol, who made us take down our banner and threatened to arrest us and take us to jail.  They claimed we were slowing down traffic.  It was Friday afternoon during rush hour and it's always very heavy then.  They refused to literally turn around, after multiple requests, and look at the traffic east of the overpass, which was just as heavy and slow as on the west side.  

In February Bob and I met with the captain of the highway patrol in Yolo County, a wonderful man named Ike Iketani.  The purpose of the meeting was to find a way where we could do our peaceful demonstration protected by the First Amendment and they could do their jobs protecting safety and enforcing the laws.  It was a long meeting, 2 1/2 hours. At first he did almost all the talking and said we should find a private property owner next to the highway and place our banner there, which was not what we wanted. 

Eventually we came up with a plan which was the basis for our cooperation with the highway patrol.  Our next freeway blogging event was in April.  We notified Capt. Iketani and he came up to the overpass and visited us.  We had a very friendly visit.  I made a video showing the event and our previous one in October, to show how things had changed.  My friend Shawn Hamilton made an audio recording which was played on a radio station in the Bay area.  

Right now my website is down and so is my web host, but it's www.freewayblogging.com

Question:  Is anybody going freeway blogging these days? 

One thing I learned is I need to do is stay off the overpass.  I have damaged but functional hearing.  Sensitive ears.  The traffic is way too loud.  It also causes people to honk their horns when you're on the overpass.  What I do is set up the banner and sit and watch it from the end of the overpass where it's only about 10% as loud.  I would have to do this sort of thing if I were to go freeway blogging in the Bay area or anywhere else. 

When are your meetings?  Will somebody send me a meeting invitation to your virtual meetings?  One day I will attend a meeting in person so if you would let me know the date, time and place of your in person meetings I'd appreciate it. 

I know this Alliance has been around a long time.  Keep up the good work!  I am happy to join you.

Hi Mark. I am a long time member of the Northern California 9/11 Truth Alliance. I and others are doing freeway bannering Sunday from 3 to 5 pm on the Hwy 80 pedestrian bridge in Berkeley. Our bannering is regarding covid and vaccine issues but you would be welcome to put up a 9/11 banner if you like. Peter
