Nice work on both fronts! The bollard is an obvious hazard, especially since riders there need to be worried about multiple streams of vehicle traffic as well as potential pedestrians, and the risk of any motor vehicles driving onto the Bay Trail there is essentially zero. And bike lanes on the preceding (southbound) street is fantastic. Way too many turning vehicles. Bike lanes are a reminder of the need to watch for cyclists.

Thanks! I don't have permission to see this - can that be fixed? Ok to forward to MP Staff?
I asked for the intersection to be discussed in an upcoming Transportation Commission agenda. Will hail SF2G when it's scheduled. There is a big apartment complex planned to built on the Bay side of the hairball (at Haven). The closest supermarket / coffeeshop / services are 3/4 mile away across the intersection. A lot more people are going to be in harms way.
Watch out for those bolts sticking up from the plate (far left of your picture). I almost tagged one two weeks ago.

Here's a foto of the intersection from the Bay Trail, facing west toward Haven, with its new haircut. You can see how much pavement was under vegetation, and how wonky the roadway is going farther, but at least the lines of sight are better.

Great news, Kurt! Thanks for keeping us in the loop. Can you email us when there are designs to look at?From my point of view, it would be great for southbound bike traffic to get onto the Bay Trail / bike path before the big intersection. You can currently alley cat it but the east side curb and growth by that pumping plant makes it dicey. I hope that redoing that part is on the table.
