I have a Garmin 910XT that uses the standard ANT+ USB stick and was wondering if I am able to upload to Strava via a Chromebook (has a standard USB port). Does anybody know? 15 minutes of Googling makes me think the answer is no because there is no Garmin Connect for Chromebooks which is unfortunate.

Thanks!

I haven't used Garmin Connect in a long time, and have been much happier without it. It should just mount as a USB drive (on pretty much everything, including Chrome OS), and you can just upload .fit files.

I see you haven't had the pleasure of dealing with Gamin's "Triathlon" devices.

There is no physical USB port and all syncing is done through a painful ANT+ interface (either to a phone that supports ANT+ or to a USB/ANT+ adapter). The only real way to do it on a laptop uses Garmin's software. There's an attempt at an open-source ANT+ software stack for linux, but I've never gotten it to work in reality.

Ted, you could consider getting a USB adapter (or ANT+ adapter) for your phone of choice and using one of the apps that supports USB/ANT+. I've had more luck with that then the computer version.

I haven't used iOS for this, but I'm sure it must exist, right? -_-
