Please sign petition to keep bike lanes in San Mateo

Per its 2020 Bike Master Plan, the City of San Mateo is planning on installing bike lanes on Humboldt and Poplar near 101.  This is a high density area, with strong ridership, and a high number of kids who commute to San Mateo High School and other elementary campuses.  Unfortunately, the Council is considering reneging on this plan as some community members are raising a stink about the loss of street parking to make room for the bike lanes.  The City has studied the issue and determined that adequate parking exists on adjacent streets to accommodate the planned changes, but residents are fighting hard to preserve free parking on the streets in front of their homes.
