AFAICT, the current proposal is to add some shared-use paths along the 1 down towards Lobitos and San Gregorio and add some "Bike Route" signs along Tunitas Creek and other paths over the ridge.

That doesn't look like a very ambitious plan.
I was hoping they would have a plan for a continuous bike route between San Francisco and San Jose,
along the 101 for instance.

fwiw, Julien, this is _only_ for unincorporated San Mateo County, which is the lighter gray area of the map and has eastbound boundary at ~ I-280.

Are they planning to pave the purisima creek trail? two thumbs down. it's already road-bikeable.

looks like they're going to set up a separated bike path on Guadalupe Canyon Pkwy. That would be nice, especially for going up hill.

i think it's marked as  'shared use' which doesn't really make much sense either, since i think that's already what it is.

otoh, looking at 'proposed wide shoulder' for the northern side of purissma open space does make you wonder, it's pretty much a dirt/crappy road straight up from half moon bay. w/o cars it's pretty much wide shoulder the whole way,
