Thu 5/14 Bike To Work Day Bayway 0630 24th/Mission BART. Style: Fun

Bike to Work Day is almost upon us! Come ride bikes with us -- you'll dig it. We expect several riders, so it's gonna be a party.

Deets:

General:

- meet at 24/Mission BART, SW corner, gathering a little before 6:30

- pose for giant wide-angle photo

Ride:

- Bayway, including Cortland

- NRLB -- no rider left behind; someone will help you if in distress

- Safety is priority #1! please be mindful and don't get yourself hurt

- Obey traffic laws! this ain't critical mass

- Don't swarm cars at intersections -- stay behind the line of vehicles and don't block right-turn lanes (please)

- Don't launch attacks -- we know you're fast. This is not the day to demonstrate it. Please help us keep the group somewhat intact -- much more fun. Go slow and enjoy the scenery.

Equipment, and in more detail:

- wear a helmet! 

- make sure your tires are inflated THE NIGHT BEFORE

- check your bike and test ride for proper function

- bring a spare tube and tools necessary to change a flat

- be reasonably fit

SFBC might be providing snacks at BART (TBC), but in any case, it's a good time to renew your membership at sfbike.org to help support bike infrastructure in SF.

- Google is partnering with Silicon Valley Bike Coalition to promote our on campus energizer stations. Special edition SVBC tote bags will be available at Energizer Stations but are only available to those who pledge to ride through SVBC.

- On the morning of May 15, Google will host energizer stations at MTV (at the intersection of Permanente Creek Trail and Charleston Road), SVL (near MP1) and at MFA (at the bridge connecting Crittenden to Bay View).

Though I am currently funemployed (which will presumably be a permanent condition modulo working the ski lifts or non profits) - I will be there!

Since I got nowhere to be, I'm willing to sweep, though it might impact my ability to sleaze my way into a Google energizer station.

+1, going to Google Bayview campus. 

Btw the Google energizer stations are also May 14th, matching the ride call! There is a typo from copying over last year's info I think.
