Are there any Bayway detours to note, lately?
Or, does anyone have a recent Bayway route / activity that I could follow?

My last bayway ride was in 2019. I'll bet there are some little differences along the way due to construction or closures or whatever.

I'd love to follow a more recently-correct route so that I don't "zig" where I'm supposed to "zag". :)

Thanks!

Here's the route I've been taking lately. I think the big change from 2019 is there's a long, separated mixed use path in Foster City now that adds a few miles but they're very good miles along the bay. The other thing is that (per other threads in this group) there are a few incredibly gnarly potholes on the trail before Meta HQ, the sort you can't avoid and that'll toss ya if you hit them at any kind of speed.

Would love to hear from others if there are other tweaks to make. I'm optimizing for safety and comfort over speed / distance.

Dieter your route includes this but didn't mention it, the other difference from 2019 is that there's a new section of the Bay Trail in East Palo Alto just after the Dumbarton bridge. Rather than doing that sketchy merge on University Ave into a left turn into the neighborhood of East Palo Alto, you can just cross the street using the signal and join the bike trail on the left side there, which then joins the Bay Trail and the gravel section that leads to the golf course in Palo Alto / Mountain View.
