INGOTs

Just for information, I have had notification from QCDA that our new
INGOT ITQ qualifications have been allocated the points equivalent of 2
grade B grades at GCSE. Units are Improving productivity using IT, Web
software, collaborative technologies and an optional unit that could be
spreadsheets or computer programming eg HTML and Javascript

Collaborative technologies could include a group working collaboratively
on a computer program over the internet eg from different schools in
different countries. FOSS style. Assessment by direct criteria matching
so very low bureaucratic overhead and less expensive than GCSEs.

For those that don't know, ITQ is the National Vocational Qualification
for IT Users so it makes INGOTs more nationally accepted.
