🏃‍♀️✨ Ready, Set… VALENCIA! ✨🏃‍♂️

The San Francisco Track and Field Team has officially kicked off our 2026 season as we train for the Valencia Gay Games 2026 — and we want YOU on the track with us!

Whether you’re a former high school or college standout, a dedicated runner looking to sharpen your speed and form, or someone ready to try something bold and new, this is your season.

We’ve got something for every kind of athlete:

🔥 Sprints – Speed, power, and lift-off

🏃 Mid & Long Distance – Endurance meets strategy

💪 Throws – Strength, technique, and big energy

And you won’t be doing it alone. Our incredible coaching team is here to help you learn, improve, get fit, and get competition-ready:

Coach Thomas Setser – Mid/Long Distance

Coach Curtis Moore – Sprints

Coach Chelsea McElveen – Throws

📍 When & Where:

Sundays at the track at Ruth Asawa School of the Arts (555 Portola Drive)

9:30 AM – Sprinters + Mid/Long Distance
10:00 AM – Throwers

This is more than training — it’s community, camaraderie, and fierce Queen energy as the official track & field sister team to SFFR.

Come sweat, sprint, throw, jump, laugh, and chase big goals with us.

Mark your calendars for 3/1 — it’s Bring-a-Friend Practice! 🏃‍♀️✨

If you’ve got a friend who’s been “thinking about” joining track, this is their sign. Invite them out, let them feel the vibes, meet the crew, and see what we’re all about.

The more, the merrier — let’s keep building this amazing community together 💪💙

2026 Membership Reminder

If you’ve been loving practice (and we love that you’re there!), here’s a quick reminder:

Anyone attending more than three practices per year is asked to purchase a 2026 annual membership for $100.

This year’s membership is a bit higher because we’re expanding our practice offerings as we gear up for the Gay Games in Valencia. It’s a big competition year, and we want everyone fully supported, well-coached, and ready to shine.

If cost is ever a concern, please reach out to a board member. Truly — cost should never be a barrier to being part of this club.
