2012 Pride Meet - VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION!

We're just about 30 days away from the start of our 5th Pride Track & Field Championships, a USATF sanctioned track meet being held on July 22nd at Chabot College in Hayward, CA.  If you have not yet signed-up, what are you waiting for?!  Go to www.pridemeet.org and sign-up today!  The registration fee is only $35 per event, plus $5 for each subsequent event.  After July 15th, the rate goes up to $45/event. 

 

By now, you should know what events you'd like to compete in, including forming your relay teams, and training at every practice session available.  This year promises to be one of our most attended meets and we hope that you're going to join us and represent SFT&FC.  If not, we hope that you'll agree to volunteer at our meet to rake pits, measure throws, or move equipment.  Please reply to nrc...@gmail.com to let our volunteer coordinator, Nathan, know that you'd like to help. 

 

One way you can help us get the word out is for EVERYONE to post and share this very important track & field meet on your facebook wall.  A facebook event page has already been created, all you need to do is share it on your walls and share with your friends, family and other networks.  Who knows how many people in the area will see it and quite possibly sign-up?  Please take a second and share this advertisement:

 

 

Also, we'll be hosting a pre-meet team social on Saturday, July 21st in San Francisco at the famed Lookout.  From 5-7pm, we'll gather and enjoy each others company and FREE appetizers...drinks will be on your own. We have some fellow athletes and friends we've meet at the 2010 Gay Games and from the 2011 N. American OutGames in Vancouver coming all the way from Boston and NY - lets show them how we like to have a great time here in SF!  Come on out.

 

See you at this Sunday's Pride beverage booth sales. And we'll see you the following Sunday when we resume team practice at SFSU.  We already expect a few more newcomers, so please come welcome them all.
