Great performance Sunday, fellas. Good batting, great fielding and solid bowling all around. We really took it to Marin but came up a bit short in the second half of a long 40 overs.
With all the people who were missing this week, I am really happy with our performance and to go 1-1 on the day. Lets keep it going this Saturday again in Napa. Our first game is at 9:10, so please try to get there at 8:30 / 8:45 to get started.
GOOD NEWS: We will be playing on the new, lush green turf pitch this weekend.
Action for you: Let me know if you can make it or not.
DUES: $20 per game, so $40 for the day. Ill try to coordinate lunch remotely or bring stuff up in the morning and head out. Ive already paid for the whole season, so if you pay your dues in one lump sum, you get lunch included. Otherwise, $20 per game and a few dollars extra for beer / lunch each day.

Enjoy this write up from the league for the last weekends matches.
We had a great start to the season last week; thanks for everyone for turning up and playing some great cricket. Four games in a day is quite a marathon so thanks for contributing to a smooth day.
Please read last week's email for general logistics and so on (especially teams playing their first game this week) with the following updates:
Location
We are still at the Napa Expo (see below) but at this stage it looks like we will be playing on the Silverado Field; this is a much smoother & greener surface. When you enter through the gates, it is to the immediate south east of the parking lot.
Time Limits
We struggled a bit with time limits on Sunday; if not for one game finishing very quickly we would have been in trouble. Kumar and I will be stricter on times this week. We will be giving regular updates and asking teams to speed up if falling behind.
Local Rules
We had some issues last week with the ball hitting the raised edge of the pitch; effective from this week, these will be the local rules:
1. A bowled ball hitting the edge of the pitch and "ricocheting" off will be called a wide, but no byes will be allowed.
2. A throw return that hits the edge of the pitch and ricochets off will be dead at that point (any runs completed or in progress will be counted but no further runs).
Uniforms
The Halal Bros are a new team and are still waiting on their uniforms, so they will be granted exception to LMS tops for the next three weeks until their uniforms arrive. They still need to wear the 'same' tops and the 'same' trousers/shorts. All other teams are expected to be in LMS tops.
This week's schedule
As always, any questions or comments let me know.
