Dear Colleagues,
SFUSD School Health Programs is launching an AmeriCorps Program in the Fall that may be a good opportunity for some of the young people you know. It is a full-time 10 month stipend position (approximately $1,200/month) and pays an education award upon completion of 1700 hours of AmeriCorps service.
Would you be able to share this opportunity with someone who may be a good fit?
AmeriCorps Members will be working in SFUSD schools 4 days per week and participating in training 1 day per week. The areas of focus will be mentoring, school climate, social emotional learning, positive interventions in schools, and team building and structured group activities from a Youth Development perspective. If interested in seeing the role of a School Social Worker, Teacher, or Nurse first-hand this is a great opportunity to partner with them to meet the needs of schools and students.
I am attaching a detailed description, and a flyer to this message, and here is a link to the application: http://goo.gl/forms/Dc34NPDPq5
Thank you in advance for helping to spread the word about this opportunity and for helping us find folks that would like to serve the SF Community and work with our youth! Feel free to have any interested person call me with questions.
