Anybody who ported a game that was designed for a platform other than mobile has faced the critical importance of user experience design for smartphones. Screen size and the need to occlude the play area to input commands can be a curse unless the game is re set to adopt the new paradigm. The way we use smartphones,  the places where we use them and even the way we hold them should be taken into consideration if we want the user to fully enjoy the fruit of our hard coding labor. Drawing from experience in many published titles, our speakers will cover the principles of UX design for mobile and illustrate them with clear examples. The objective of the talk is for the attendants to walk away with the tools necessary to re focus their current project or start the next game design on the right foot.
