Hi,

Love this scope, but I recently sold my minivan and no longer have a way to transport it.
The optics are relatively new — 2022 Lightholder, with all documentation included.
Always stored in my garage; the new optics have only been out to two CalStar.
Local pickup only (94555). You will need a minivan for transport. I’ll include the ramp.
The mirror plus the Feather Touch focuser alone are worth more than $3,500.

Ask for $3000 OBO, pick up at 94555

I met John years ago and he showed me his many ways to make the mirror.

It will perform like a larger scope.

Sounds like a great scope.  I met John a few times at GSSP, enjoyed the 10" finder on his big (22"?) Dob.

I do wonder though how he builds a telescope to perform larger (inside) than it is.  Tardis technology?  I want that for my 18!

It's in the Tahoe air I guess... like living in Iowa.  Just ultra focus on crafty stuff...

Kai,
How much does the mirror cell weigh?  I assume that is the heaviest part.
Thanks

Never weight the mirror.
This is 18” with 1.5” thick.
The box is heavy build therefore it is super stable in high magnification.

What is the eyepiece height at the zenith?

Hi Jake,

I never measure it, but I only need a single step stair to reach the zenith. I am 5'10". :D
