Coe in question

I’m at Coe. The gate to the lot is locked and the visitors center has been closed all afternoon Observing here for a group may not be possible . I’m gonna hang out by the visitors center until 5 or so.

I’ll post again if there’s a change in conditions,

No one has shown up at the visitors center, so I doubt we’ll have the lot available. I’ve got a campsite so I’ll stick it out. Maybe just pull out the binos. It’s pretty breezy as well. 6mph winds predicted after 10.

Just for the heck of it I’ll check the lot at 6. Maybe someone will responds to Mark’s email about us wanting to use the lot.

Maybe. I saw a worker around 2 and he said someone should be at the visitors center between 4 and 5. Didn’t happen.

Alternative is Coyote lake dam area right at the end. Lot of space to park. If it does not happen that may be an alternate location.

The boat launch ramp has a single light at the restroom that isn’t too bad. The dam parking lot has zero lights and that is where I usually would set up. Terrain prevents observing some of the stuff closer to the horizon on the east and west but south side is fairly unobstructed
