Anyone interested in the tube and rings from a Celestron C10 10" reflector? No primary or secondary mirrors but I do have the original focuser and finderscope.  (In case you're wondering, I was trying to sell the OTA and found someone who was interested only in the mirrors.) I'm in Menlo Park.

I bought it about a year ago on either Craigslist or Marketplace (can't remember which) and found it was just too bulky and took up too much space to be practical. My wife also insists that I didn't tell her I was buying it. (I did, she just wasn't paying attention). So, when I found someone who offered to buy the mirrors for my original purchase price and let me keep the Moonlite focuser, I jumped on it. Hated the idea of taking apart a perfectly good OTA but c'est la vie. The OT is still taking up space but at least I can tell my wife I didn't lose money and I'll get rid of the tube Real Soon Now.

To be clear though, you are talking about the C10 Newtonian, correct?

Not the FAR more interesting (and rare!) and "not to be broken up" Celestron Pacific 10" F13.5 Schmidt Cassegrain.

Yes, the Newtonian. I wouldn’t have removed the mirrors from a Celestron Pacific SCT and admitted it in public.

Mark:  If the OT is still available, I’d be interested in relieving you of it.  What city are you in?

Thanks Mark.  Look forward to the details.  Menlo Park is close enough to me here in Fremont.  I have a 254mm mirror, f/4.25, that needs a tube.

Cheers, 73s, Clear Skies and Clear Blocks,

Ray
