If nothing else, perhaps we can help ensure that the corporations take steps to minimize impact on the earths population at large for the benefit of a few paying customers. Starlink did this to a certain extent.

I just filled out the survey.  The effect of this will be much worse than frustrating astronomers.  Nighttime lighting already causes problems for wildlife, for much the same reason that too much screen time keeps people from getting a good night's rest. Worse, that interference with their body clocks causes problems with mating cycles as well as feeding.  It's a dreadful project and it needs to be shut down.

Haha, no it’s just an illusion of control. But in all fairness I think the astronomy cause did influence SpaceX to reduce the albedo of Starlink satellites
