Mark has a feature article titled “A Tour of Short-Period Binary Stars" in the just released April issue of Sky & Telescope magazine.

If you’re not aware, Mark is a master observer of close double stars!

Big congratulations, McMark! This is great, we now have at least four Sky & Tel authors who are TACos. Did I miss someone?

Regards
Akarsh

Sorry for mangling his name, it’s Mark McCarthy, or sometimes McMark when there’s too many Mark’s around.

Does it say in the article what scope and eyepiece for this work?

Articles written by our volunteers and docents would make great content for our website if they’re not prevented from posting by the publishers.

Thanks for the recognition!  Nice to see it in the magazine.  I'm sure I've posted many of the observations here first.

I typically observe these with my 20-inch f/5 reflector from my back yard, with very high magnification.  However, I tried to select at least a few pairs with wider separations which should be resolvable with smaller apertures.

It's a fun project (to me) and I hope to continue it for many years to come

Buddy, good to see you in colorful print. You're one of the most diligent observers I've ever known.
