Shipping filter wheels with filters installed?

Hi all,

Does anyone have any experience shipping filter wheels with filters installed, in particular the "unmounted" type filters?  (Shipping with UPS or FedEx) Or is it just much safer to take the filters out and ship them in separate packaging (pouches) from the filter wheel?

I would suggest the wheel manufacturer link at least. As otherwise your Q is too vague. Though at any rate it's much safer to remove indeed, that's zero doubt :)
