Fremont Peak parking

I noticed this posted on fpoa.net:

"Notice of Parking Restrictions

The park informed us on 3/13 that the main parking lot has been reduced from 37 spaces to 5. Another lot at Oak Point will be closed.

We respectfully ask anyone not staying at the campgrounds to delay their visit until the construction is complete. The current estimate is this summer."

Does anyone know how or if this will effect observing availability of Coulter Row or the SW parking lot?

Hadn't heard about this mess, but ...

Given that we don't park in the main lot, I don't see how this would affect observing. The SW lot tends to clear out by sunset, any night.

No point in going to Coulter Row till next winter anyway. That campground right behind the row lights up on summer nights.

And the FPOA area would be available, as ever. The public programs are ongoing as usual.

Fresh info from Rob Hawley thru Mark Wagner about the SW lot -

"The SW lot is being used during this period for storing equipment and materials, and so is unavailable."

Ah.
