Observing article on Delphinus

If anyone wants to add a few objects to their observing list…

I have a feature observing article in the current issue of Sky & Tel (September) on the constellation Delphinus. It includes a variety of objects including galaxies, two globulars, three planetaries, several double stars, an unusual variable star, and a double star that was originally in the Hyades (Taurus). I used a wide variety of scopes from 85mm to 24-inches.

II Zw 96 definitely goes on my observing list!

I started working on Steve's Delphinus article last week from a Bortle 3-ish location. II Zw 96 was faint but distinct in my 12" dob, angled NW-SE with a bright 7th mag star to the west. It's fascinating in this JWST image:

I was hoping the editor would feature that image of II Zw 96 on the magazine’s cover, but instead ran with a refurbished radio telescope.
