Are dogs allowed?  I’m hoping to attend the two outreach events on Oct 15, solar and evening observatory viewing.  Are dogs allowed?  I will be with a few other folks, one can stay outside of the observatory while the others are inside.   Are dogs allowed inside during the lecture portion of the events?  Please advise.

Hi Ray,

Here is information from the state park:

Yes, dogs are allowed at Fremont Peak State Park but are not permitted on park trails. Dogs must be kept on a leash no longer than six feet at all times and must be cleaned up after. Pets are allowed in developed areas like campsites and picnic areas but cannot be left unattended.

You can bring your dog to the outdoor area around the observatory as long as you follow the park rules.  However we do not allow dogs inside the observatory building including the lecture room.
