On the morning of Thursday April 16, from 5:15 AM to 5:30 AM, up in "Glenn County" under transparent skies, I observed Comet PanSTARRS. I caught it just above the ridge to the east with 10x50 binoculars. It appeared as a condensed puff and when compared to nearby phi Peg, clearly not a star. I saw no indication of a tail. The eastern sky was already starting to brighten. It was not visible naked eye. It was quite cold here and I was back in bed by 5:30.

Shortly before Sunrise, I snapped 5-6 images of Comet C/2025-R3 (Panstarrs @ 75 million miles from the Sun) after which the East horizon was blocked by thin clouds.
Here is the stacked image.  Hopefully it will survive the closest approach today/tomrw and return to our evening skies only partially-scathed and will have another shot at it.
Clear Skies,
Shashi.
