The bigger problem is that shit like this can give people (and universally, people are stupid and uniformed) the wrong idea about the danger posed by meteorites. This can lead to a long term decline in funding for the detection of near-Earth asteroids....

I would be more concerned with the presence of the alien microorganism that turns blood into powder causing instant death.  

And… I would expect the “meteorite” has already been “contained and removed” by the government … tho given the current administration they probably fired all of the “Wildfire” team and there’s absolutely no hope for Humanity.

Looking over that pic, a piece broken off an inbound meteorite would have been an ideal setting. Landed on grass. Missed the road. Plus can get vehicle access. Just right.
