I was down at PinnWest last night. Beautiful sky, like a late summer one, sugary star fields mimicking the Milky Way, SQM-L 21.50, dry, comfy temps. Arriving in Soledad at 3:30pm was like being in Tampa. FL during a hurricane, high winds, got me worried about the ensuing evening. All the high wind created a thick marine layer stretching all the way south to Paso Robles. Total light dome blackout from PinnWest. My 180FL APO pulled in gx's like a medium Dob. Great but short night.
