I'm thinking of Lake Sonoma tonight. Yes, it's moony but the weather is
predicted to be good till 1AM or so. OTOH, Astrospheric thinks it's
clear now, while my window says it's socked in in Berkeley. Anyone else
interested?
This is obviously the last chance for July, and I'm missing the August
lunation because I'll be in Spain for the solar eclipse.

Atmospheric can't predict low marine layer kind of fog.

I use this satellite image to see what its like from a couple hours ago to now  and try and guess what it will be like in a few hours.

I'm heading up with my imaging setup and a pair of binoculars.  Last night was great until the fog rose up from the lake.  One of the few times I've had that happen.
