Scope for outreach

Hi gang,

I was given an 8” Celestron starhopper dob last week that needed some TLC. With some cleaning, laminate (provided by Mark Wagner) spray paint, and a bit of flocking I’ve got a smooth moving scope with an ok mirror. 

I’m looking to donate it to a school, a needy youth, or someone who would use it for outreach. It’s got a 6x30 finder, 1.25” focuser, but no eyepieces.

Let me know if you, an organization, or someone you know fits the bill.

If you have not gotten a taker yet, we could use this for astronomy program at our scouting summer camp. Location is at 7000’, so it would get some great seeing. Message me at rgro...@mac.com.
