Enjoying Jupiter and reading about all sightings here and there and admiring all images big and especially small, reminds me that apogee is just two years away.
On September 29, 2028 the impossibly huge, to us, mind blowing, failed star will be nearly 600 million miles away, twice its distance from just a few years ago.
On this date I will plan to have an observatory visit / event TBA to celebrate. That we remember and cherish our close views from this time forward and challenge us to compare observe towards the next close approach many many years from now.
