Got to observe the Falcon 9 rocket burn, launched from Vandenberg Space Force Base at 20:41 hours this evening as it ascended and then after the flip maneuver, I observed the booster entry burn as it descended until it dropped below the ridge from my vantage point in the East Bay hills. It was fiery red with a huge halo around it. I also observed three other white bright objects ascending near it but they did not come back down. I researched these and they are most likely rocket parts from the separation and/or payload testing. The naked eye view along with viewing through my 15X56 binoculars was spectacular! My scope was on Jupiter and there was not enough time for me to move to it.
