Seeing tonight

Folks – Seeing tonight is almost unbelievably good. I’m looking at Saturn with my 130mm refractor at 225x, it’s perfectly steady and I can see Rhea and Tethys. Get out and enjoy!

I can’t wait for Jupiter to clear my backyard tree!

Thanks for the alert. I went look for Saturn with a 120mm f/8.3 achro, 8mm eyepiece with 2x Barlow so about 250x. Saturn was about 20 degrees up. I could see Tian but not the other moons you mentioned. Maybe it was washed out by the glare. Nevertheless I still had excellent view of Jupiter and the 4 moons.

It was awesome till around midnight at south San Jose and then clouds rolled in, I got my imaging rig back in ☹️. Maybe I will continue tonight if things are good to complete rest of the filters.
