Damage at Lick

Does anyone who volunteers at Lick have any more details?

Lick Observatory is CLOSED to the public due to wind damage sustained during the December 24th to 25th storm.  Winds up to 116 mph were measured at Copernicus Peak (the highest peak on Mt. Hamilton), and 92 mph at the Shane Telescope Dome.  

The observatory will remain closed until a full assessment of the damage has been completed and public safety can be assured.

They're pulling the other half of the shutter off with a crane. Then the have many not-fun hours to assess how bad it all is.

I dont know how they are covering the gap to keep the rain out.

Anyone who's heart is full of interest to make the climb should be priority in the minds of the country.
