I have shipped mirrors safely in the past. The idea is to get a double-lined ULINE box and have 4" of solid XPS foam on all sides of the mirror. This is Mike Lockwood's method
described here. Carl Zambuto has a different approach, which also has excellent success rate. He uses
plank foam to surround the mirror. Would any of these work for an SCT OTA?
I actually have Meade's original packaging in which it was shipped, perhaps save for the outer box, including the foam. But wondering if I can find a more efficient way to package it to reduce shipping cost.
