Did not see it and its been awhile since I have seen one really make instant daylight.

I would imagine since most of these fireballs are much bigger than your standard BB (gun) sized meteors that one perhaps the size of a baseball ⚾️ came in for a home run.

Ted - I think yours is the first negative observation of a daytime event I've ever seen on this list! :-)

it wasn't a daytime event, it was about 8:19pm on Sunday.
is the summary of the 300+ reports.

looking at the couple videos posted, I'd hazard to guess it was in fact space junk re-entry rather than an actual meteor
