Guilty either way. I cannot win.

"Six weeks ago my son in law accused me of abusing my daughters at a
young age they are now 38 and 36 this came as a total shock up until
seven years ago i had a good relationship with my daughters and
grandchildren, this was toatlly unjustified. the last time i se my
children was when they paid me a visit and asked if the youngest could
stay at my house for a while, because i was in a new relationship i
said no as we wanted to get on with our life. since then i have not
spoke to them until this accusation was made. Now it has thrown doubt
in my wife's mind, the feeling towards me is cold and i cannot prove
my innocence. I have been to a solicitor to see what i can do to which
he has said we can take them to court to try and disprove the
allegation, however this will cost me thousand of pounds and in his
opinion just avoid contact with them and try to get on with my life,
suicide has been contemplated, but then some would say i am guilty
either way I cannot win"
