Creating With Needle & Thread

Good morning everybody. I hope your week has gone well. We had quite a
bit of lightning and rain last night. It lit up the sky for a while.
Now it is cool, just about seventy degrees here. Hubby's garden is
bursting at the seams with beans, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage,
lettuce and soon some raspberries. However, we need some hot sun for
them to ripen.

QUICKIE CHALLENGE:
I asked everyone to post in the Sewing for Children forum what they
were sewing for back to school. Here you can read the posts.

Randomly I chose someone to win a copy of the latest Ottobre Design
pattern book for kids. The lucky winner is sewingrandma.

Congratulations, please email me privately with your name and address
so I can send out your magazine. mar...@gmail.com Many thanks to
www.ottobredesign.com for sponsoring this challenge.

SUMMER INSPIRATION CHALLENGE:
This challenge asked everyone what inspired them to sew. Is it fabric,
colour, pattern??? The answers were varied and interesting. You can
read them all here.

LAST CHALLENGE:
As you all know, the site will be closing down in a couple of days.
What day exactly I don't know. The server people haven't yet told me.
I will, however throw out one more challenge to you all. Somehow, in
your own way, pass on the love we all share for sewing. Be it a
friend, neighbor or family member. We must keep sewing alive and share
our knowledge. Encourage others and show them what a wonderful,
creative outlet it really is.

IN CLOSING:
You can always reach me at mar...@gmail.com

I would appreciate it if you would forward this newsletter on to your
online sewing friends. Next week I will have some great news on new
sewing sites and discussion forums. Until then, stay well, have some
fun and happy sewing to you all.
