The ghost turns out to be a spirit of a man named Veer Pratap Singh, who was killed by David Cooper and his associates for protesting against their chemical plant that was polluting the river and causing cancer among the villagers. Veer's soul is seeking revenge from those who wronged him and his people. Nandita is somehow connected to Veer's past life, as she was his lover, Sangeeta, who was also killed by the same culprits.
Prithvi and Nandita decide to go to Kalindi to find out the truth behind Veer's death and stop his spirit from harming anyone else. They are joined by Yash, who is skeptical about the whole story but wants to protect Nandita. On their way, they encounter several obstacles and dangers from Veer's spirit, who tries to stop them from reaching Kalindi. They also learn that the inspector who was investigating David's suicide has gone mad and is admitted in a mental asylum.

He then ascends to heaven with Sangeeta's spirit, who appears beside him. Prithvi, Nandita, and Yash then leave Kalindi with a sense of relief and peace.
